Elna polar and BP caps, dual OPA LM-4562 op amps in preamp stage & the Tripath TA 2022 chip gives this amp a wonderful warm big sound.
It's got the famous Tripath Sound but uses a different chip from the Tripath family p the TA2022. The TA2022 is a bit more "mellow" but all the details are there. The soundstage is surprisingly big and there is a ton of detail apparent. Vocals are silky smooth and natural. The lower end has a thicker and more robust sound.
This is a Tripath amp with some extra power but it can be described as laid back. Matching this amp up with speakers is significantly easier as it does not demand overly sensitive speakers
