I've have had the Pop Pulse for only a few days and have let it burn in a bit. For reference, I also have a Trends TA-10 1.1 and an Emotiva LPA 1 (6 x 125 w RMS). Speakers are Eminent Technology LFT-8 (83 db @ 1w/1m). The Trends is great for small speakers such as the B&W 601 and for powering my Stax electrostatic headphones. It took a good month or so for the Trends to burn in. Very quick and detailed but you can't hook it up to just any speaker. I tried to run my Eminent Techs to much disappointment. The Pop Pulse connected to my very power hungry Eminent Tech speakers blew me away. More punch on the low end then the Emotiva at low to modest listening levels. This is surprising as the recommended amplification power for these speakers are 75 wpc @ 8 ohm. The Pop is suppose to be around 22 wpc @ 8 ohm but this must be very conservative. The mids and highs are very smooth as well and leave me wanting not in detail. The soundstage is very wide and convincing. I am floored that an amp just over $200 can power highly inefficient albeit extremely good speakers costing almost ten times as much. The build and finish of the Pop amp is very good. Literally built like a brick. The built in power supply is a nice clean touch for these who don't want to tweak. I could run this amp on my two speakers with the Super Pro DAC instead of the home theater system I have now. Highly recommended.
