I just received our shipment of the T150's and spent about an hour listening to one unit. I combined it with a Citypulse 2.03, cheapo Celestion Impact 30's (91 db) and I was floored!

First positive thing that I noticed was that the T150 does not have the high pitched whine from the one channel we all noticed the T100 had with sensitive speakers! This is apparantly thanks to the new TDA2075A Tripath chip.

My reference disc is always disc 1 of Led Zep's Physical Graffiti - The Rover's opening sounded nasty (good nasty) like it should. Super quick bass attack and think as molasses mid range :-). The soundfield was 3D - I closed my eyes and I could imagine where each musician stood. I paid close attention to Bonzo's kit and it was sublime - it felt like it was right in the middle of the group. Really stunning.

Next disc was The Stone's Exile on Main St & Rocks Off. The T150 reproduces drums unbelievable well. I don't think I can articulate this well but the drums sound so quick and clean. The space between musicians sounded wonderful too...and the guitar was right up front and perfectly reproduced. The tube pre-stage (even without break in) gives such warmth to the guitars. The bass is clean and very well articulated.

Next disc was Springsteens, The River. This is a great album but I always found it a little too bright. Bruce uses the 12 string alot here and I am sure Little Steven is using a Rickenbacker which is inherently bright. Not many amps can reproduce this album well but again, the tube pre-stage really mellows out the high's on this disc. The first track is The Ties That Bind which is Little Steven on the Rickenbacker. It really sounded great. The T150 really provides an extra dimension, depth to the music. This album definitely shines through a nicely broken in tube amp, and even straight out of the box, the T150 is impressive.

OK...That was a little preview for you guys. I'll be sending one or 2 units out for an unbiased review. I will be very interested to hear other more professional opinions!

Cheers,

Sash

Sash,

Is the Little Dot T150 better than the Trends 10.1?

Hi Matt,

I dont think it's a fair comparison really. The Little Dot is 150w and the TA-10 is 15w...the LD has 4 inputs and the Trends only has one. Also, the Little Dot is triple the price!

Keeping price/value in mind, both are a tremendous bargain.

I live in the UK, do you export to the UK and can you supply a 230v version of the LD 150?
