About Us
 Obad Imports is an E-tailer operation based in Langley BC, Canada. We also service our US customers by conveniently shipping from Blaine, Washington USA. We specialize in importing respected budget audiophile components from overseas. We're a small family operation, no one is over 6 ft tall. You can trust short people. All my competitors are taller than 6 ft but I can't say for sure - because I am honest. I digress.
We've recognized an opportunity to bring in products usually difficult to find anywhere else but their originating countries. We buy in large volumes and deal with reputable sources to bring you the best products your hard earned money could buy.
We are also music fans and we want our components and media to sound great. So, we search the globe for satisfaction! You reap the benefits.
How did we come about?
The site was actually borne out of frustration. I was very annoyed with the fact, that the products I was most intrigued with, were so difficult to obtain here in North America. When I finally did manage to find what I was looking for,one of the following dynamics usually happened:
A. The product was rarely exactly as I imagined.
B. It cost a fortune by the time it reached my door.
C. It had zero manufacturer/reseller support. Eg. How do I return this thing or get it fixed??
Keeping these frustrations in mind from first hand experience and putting myself in the shoes of the like-minded: I decided I would carefully research the products, manufacturers making big & small waves in the audiophile community. If there was a product showing promise, the price was right and the manufacturer could convince me that they could deliver substance rather than hype, I would take that leap of faith and venture into a relationship.
Of course with any venture like this, there are risks involved. But any reasonable talented business person can tell you that where there is risk, there is opportunity.
So, imagine Obad Imports is like a Casino for sore losers and forgiving pit bosses. Everyone gets a gimme and no one's legs get broken ;-)
